Annette from my office had been giving me some rather “unsubtle” hints that she wanted to get the few tins she collected all dressed up for her stationery so I eventually took the “hint” and took the tins home last weekend.
Annette is not the type of girl who is into flowers and lace, she is loud and funny, she says things like “it’s not my mug of beer” instead of the conventional “it’s not my cup of tea”, she loves Guinness and she is dating a Scotsman.
I rummaged through my fabric scrap box and found the one piece of fabric which I knew she would love. And unbelievably I also managed to find an acrylic letter “A” among the few scrap letters and numbers a friend who calls himself the “signage expert” gave me. And lastly, instead of fancy ribbons I used the leftover strings from the roman blinds from our hotel.
