Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I can’t believe Christmas is just a day away and the year is coming to an end! How time flies………

Looking back it has been a very interesting year for me as I went through a difference set of challenges and achievements especially where work was concerned and I have grown so much out of that. I count the Lord’s blessings and give thanks to Him for He has seen me through and His love has sustained me. And I also give thanks for the people whom He has sent my way to provide me with invaluable support and love, and to add colours along the journey.

I started the year with a small challenge for myself which was to create a craft a week and I managed to post the last of my craft of the week yesterday on my Facebook page and that was truly an accomplishment for me — 52 crafts for 52 weeks and yes, I’ve made it!!!

I begun with the following craft for the first week in 2103:
week 1 - bottles 1 love
I dressed up a few cute little bottles that my colleagues gave me with lace and jute string and added the jute string word “Love” to wish everyone a great year ahead that would be filled with love.

And I ended with this for week 52:

handmade with love

handmade with love

week 52 - handmade cards (2)
Handmade cards with offcuts from my printer friend (leftover from scented wedding cards and strips of nice gold card) and they are to be given to the honeymooners who are checking in to our hotel.

I didn’t plan it but I was amazed at how it all worked out — begin the year with love, and end it with love….. and with that I would like to wish all a wonderful Christmas and blessed new year, and may your every day in 2014 be filled with love and joy, and the Lord’s abundant blessings.

Matthew 1:23 (NIV) “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”)
