Every morning when I get out of bed the first thing I do is to look out of my bedroom window to catch a glimpse of the sunrise and Mt. Kinabalu in the distance. On most days the highest mountain in South East Asia is visible with the sky painted in various shades of orange as backdrop and it is captivating.
My spirit is lifted instantly when greeted by such a pleasant sight almost every morning and I am ready for the day! Furthermore, every time when I look at the mountain in the distance the first two verses of Psalms 121 always come to mind, what a reassurance!
Psalm 121:1 -2
1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
(And I don’t believe it is pure coincident that when I logged onto Bible Gateway to copy the said verses they happened to be the Verse of the Day!!!)
I took the following pictures using my phone over a few mornings in the last few weeks; zoomed, low resolution and as they were!
Psalm 30:4-5
4 Sing the praises of the Lord, you his faithful people;
praise his holy name.
5 For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may stay for the night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning.
