I was not quite sure initially how much I would want to get myself involved in Christmas crafts this year until I mentally went through my “inventory” and realised I have actually “amassed” quite a collection of Christmas decorations over the years and it sure is enough to make my little home feel Christmassy during the festive season. Besides, my hands, which I am ashamed to say that after months of resting and staying away from crafting have not yet completely recovered from carpal tunnel syndrome and the numbness on my fingers still bothers me greatly. So in the end I decided to settle for some easy-to-make gift tags and Christmas cards!
My handmade Christmas gift tags are always very unconventional as compared to what one gets from the shop as I use whatever materials I can get my hands on and upcycle them accordingly.
One of my favourite “raw materials” is the toilet paper rolls and I use them a lot…

very simple and easy to make gift tags and they cost me almost next to nothing – using toilet paper rolls that are destined to go to the bin and recycled card off-cuts from a printer friend
I saw the potential in these humble egg cartons…

Love your up cycling ideas! Hope your hands heal soon.
