golden shower and love beetles

The golden shower trees (Cassia Fistula) are very common here in Malaysia (the plant is native to India and Southeast Asia) and when they bloom with the whole tree full of yellow flowers it is a beautiful sight. I was fortunate enough to get up close and personal with the flowers at my eye level on a young tree recently to take a few pictures of the blooms as the tree normally grows up to 10–20 m/33–66 ft.

and he's decided to join the love beetles... oh, three's a crowd!

the next morning I saw the love beetles still at it but on a different flower... hmm, love is definitely in the air! :)
