colours of dusk

We are very fortunate to be able to witness the glorious sunset almost everyday if the weather permits in this part of the world. For someone like me who works in a profession that makes leaving work at 5 o’clock on the dot impossible, i.e. being a hotelier, I am particularly in awe and probably more so than the others when I see the beautiful sunset with brilliant and changing colours on the odd days when I manage to get away from work before nightfall.

On two occasions recently I managed to do just that and I tried to capture the colours in pictures. Personally I think these two pictures are pretty good considering they were snapped with my phone through my car window and with me keeping my eyes on the traffic I was stuck in.

I’m a conscientious driver and I almost never take pictures while driving but on these two days the colours of the evening sky were simply irresistible! colours of dusk (1) colours of dusk (2)
Psalm 65:5-8
You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds,
    God our Savior,
the hope of all the ends of the earth
    and of the farthest seas,
who formed the mountains by your power,
    having armed yourself with strength,
who stilled the roaring of the seas,
    the roaring of their waves,
    and the turmoil of the nations.
The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders;
    where morning dawns, where evening fades,
    you call forth songs of joy.
