roaming the streets of English towns – part 2 of 2

Before my one-week stay with Joan in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire was out we explored a few more places around the region.

Sedgefield (19.03.2015)
It was a lovely sunny day when we stopped at Sedgefield town, County Durham, for lunch at a cosy little tea house before continuing our journey to Durham. It was the first time during the whole trip since I arrived in the UK that I managed to walk on the street without my jacket. Really a lovely day!

Durham (19.03.2015)
Durham, County Durham, is a scenic town centres around the world heritage site the Durham Cathedral and Castle. With the sun right above us and my camera that just did not seem to be able to do any justice to the huge cathedral, and the fact that we were not allowed to take pictures inside it, there were only a few better pictures from the tour of the Durham Cathedral.

Northallerton (20.03.2015)
Joan did not allow me to just chill and relax in the house so we were out to a small rich town nearby, Northallerton, which was only about half an hour away from Ormesby, Middlesbrough with only 2 rows of shops on the main street.

After spending a week catching up with Joan and Stuart, being well taken care of and shown a few quaint and scenic English towns, I bid farewell to my lovely friends and went further north and crossed the border to bonnie Scotland…
