random snapshot 36/2016
It has been a long while since I took time off to stroll around a garden for some fresh air and to enjoy the flowers. Taking advantage of the festive holiday, I made time to drop by at friends David and Diane’s yesterday and spent over an hour in their garden for a session of much needed “green therapy”.
Most of the plants have been pruned back but I still managed to spot some nice blooms…
my all time favourite – orchid (a surprise to see a few unusual species)
my second favourite — bougainvilleathe lovely and water colour infused — desert rose
the one with an interesting name — Christ plant/crown of thorns
and there are other interesting finds…
powder puff tree
wrightia/arctic snow
Mickey mouse plantWorking hard on his big selection of air plants is “gardener” David who so kindly allowed me to roam free in his garden.
Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul.
