In a matter of hours we will be ushering in the New Year which will conclude an eventful 2014. Looking back, although there have been many highs and lows throughout the year, probably more lows than the highs globally, nationally and locally, and even personally, I still have many things to be thankful for and I humbly count my blessings.
Now as I prepare myself to step into a brand new 2015, looking ahead I know things will be a little rocky to start with and there are no less challenges than this past year, still I am hopeful and looking forward to another year of growing, stretching and moulding.
Instead of making New Year’s resolutions which I have given up for years I now set goals; and my main goal for 2015 is to start the year with the right spiritual posture and one that I would want to carry through 2015 so that I can be carried through the year (and beyond) victoriously! And this spiritual posture is taught to me in 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18…
1 Thessalonians 5:16 – 18
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Let’s be JOYFUL, PRAYERFUL and THANKFUL!
Before I end my last blog of the year, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the readers and followers of my blog for your support, encouragement and kind words throughout the year, and wish you all a blessed New Year and may God grant you peace, comfort and joy that will see you through 2015!
